Watch as Coach Dan Heefner explains , and hitters demonstrate these back hip hitting drills. The 'RDL Drill' is a front toss and the hitter uses one leg, does two RDLs and swings away. With the 'Hitter Start Drill,' the batter is in a one-legged RDL and from this position the hitter gets back in the hip but is keeping the head forward. The 'Backwards Drill' is good for batters that get out on the front foot. The batter is moving backwards but the head is still in the middle.
