Watch as Coach explains that there are two types of pivots for the second baseman on a double play. For the first type, the infielder gets to the spot on the bag, catches, throws, and hops over the runner. The second type of pivot depends on timing and is a judgement call based on where the short stop fields the ball. Come across the bag catching the ball, planting, throwing, and hopping over the runner. Make sure to keep the hands together for both pivots.
