State coordinators for leadership training and certification from across the country will convene for professional development training, September 8 - 10th, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NIAAA Professional Development Leadership Team will conduct two and one-half days of intense training to assist state coordinators - leadership training and certification leaders in each state. Updates of processes and procedures for conducting their statewide programs, as well several new initiatives will be introduced to new and veteran coordinators. State leadership is vital in conducting the mission and vision of the NIAAA of offering professional development within the states. Several of the topics that Coordinators will be reviewing include: NIAAA Classroom online courses; certification process changes; CMAA oral presentation; new courses proposed and updates on revised courses, leadership, and sharing of ideas within each state.
About the NIAAA: The NIAAA is the professional organization for interscholastic athletic administrators. The association is accredited by AdvancED and North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the NIAAA promotes and enhances the profession of athletic administration for high school and middle school athletic administrators. Since 1977, the NIAAA has served individuals who lead education-based athletic programs in the nation’s schools.
