Sportsmanship in the Social Media Age with Todd Clark – WIAA

September 3, 2021 • By Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association

Todd Clark explains that sportsmanship is not just during games anymore, but also before and after games based on social media. He cites a psychological study that states posting on social media increases self-esteem but also a loss of control and masking of personas. The study indicated that 23% of teens have been cyber-bullied and this is becoming a serious issue with athletes.
