Kevin Simmerman discusses promoting leadership among your coaches and explains the 6 Big Es:

  • Exemplify (Model) by being an example for your coaches and a role model.
  • Educate involves teaching your coaches what is expected of them pertaining to rules, guidelines, and expectations.
  • Equip is to provide the coaches the resources and opportunities to learn that will help them to be successful.
  • Enhance your coaches to grow and be better by meeting and debriefing them.
  • Empower coaches to lead by giving them opportunities with community and meeting presentations.
  • Encourage your coaches with constant communication. Praise them in public and coach them in private.
