Jeff Sitz discusses the importance of knowing your coaching staff and developing relationships with them before making evaluations. This applies especially when you are at a new school as you need time to understand who the coaches are as individuals and their why. The process involves touching base with as many coaches as possible daily. Communicate to the coaches that your goal as an Athletic Director is to make the coaches the best they can be.
