Helping New Coaches Build Ownership One Tidbit at a Time with Jeff Kline, CMAA – Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools (MI)

November 3, 2023 • By ADInsider

Jeff Kline explains that he always meets with new coaches and reviews the handbook, responsibilities, and shares some inside info on practice schedules and times. He asks for the new coaches' input when discussing scheduling, which gives them a feeling of ownership but cites example where he makes scheduling decisions based on experience intended to assist the new coach. Too many distractions for a new coach may lead to them not being able to handle what is right in front of them.
