Michael Gulino recommends that Athletic Directors should be aware of the athletes in their athletic program that have mental health issues. Coaches should be on a need to know in regards to an athlete's mental health but this may not be the case for coaches that work outside of the school system. If the school has a support system that works with all students with issues the AD should be present when athletes are involved.
