How the “Why?” Generation Is Making Coaches Better with Stephen Mackey – 2Words Character Development

View more from 2Words Character Development here. • October 10, 2020 • By Stephen Mackey

Stephen Mackey gives an interesting take on how today's generation always asking "why?" can make your coaches better. When coaches communicate, they should always start with 'yes' and not 'no'. If you start with 'no', that is the focus and where you focus you finish. 'Yes', allows coaches and athletes to focus on all of the reasons they can achieve their objectives and goals. To be effective, teachers and coaches need to be able to answer the 'why' and articulate the 'how' so that players can understand the value as individuals and as a team.
