00:29:46 Jamie Tallman: good question Pat! we here this a lot! some coaches have quit because of this
00:29:54 kyle Vacanti: I'd say communication is key to getting them prepared. Provide them with as much info as you can on how you will make it safe for them. Also, informing families, the School Board and the community of what you are doing to protect everyone from athletes to parents to coaches is a must. If people know you are being safe it will take a lot of pressure of the coaches which will take the pressure off you.
00:30:02 Denny Squibb: Jeremy Boone who was on AD Insider few weeks ago has great stuff Winningleader.com
00:32:53 Jean Ashen: Always assume positive intent:):)
00:35:09 Darius Long: Constant Encouragement! Even the best coaches like to have support. Having difficult conversations that lead towards growth and development for both their program and themselves. As Kyle said, communication is truly key with all of your stakeholders. I’ve had a lot of coaches take courses via NFHS on mental health support. As a lot of students around the nation really need additional support when they get back to playing many missed 7-11 months of their interscholastic experiences. Just be open to adjusting..

00:50:43 Jon Isaac: Thanks Coach Brown
00:50:43 Julie Dayton: Great interview! Thank you. Impressive person & AD
00:51:24 Darius Long: I’ve always dealt with this during Basketball Season, many kids play on AAU/Select Teams Etc. And those athletes are the same athletes that would play for the school. I’ve always talked to my athletes on the importance of playing school sports, creating a legacy for you school that will live on through the young athletes that will follow you. AAU/Club is great and has given a lot of chances to kids. This is a difficult time for the nation. If your school is allowing kids to compete , kids should play for school. If school is not in session, kids could play AAU/Club. Above all they should have an avenue to play! Thanks Deb! Great Info!
