Effective coaching is teaching, and effective teaching is coaching. Richard Barton explains that both coach and teacher present information, but the key is to understand why some individuals are not getting it and to help them learn. An education-based coach realizes the 90/10% rule of coaching is that, between the lines, coaching is only 10% and 90% involves everything else. Take care of the 90% and everything else will fall into place.
