Dr. Dustin Smith explains that parents are advocates for your program and advises not to turn them into adversaries. He recommends working with and alongside parents, as they are allies. The administrators, coaches, and parents will not always agree, but he stresses that the kids are always in the middle. He wants the parents and coaches pulling on the same rope and in the same direction. Communication with parents is the key.
