As a District Athletic Director, Kelli Smith discusses how her team wanted to create a network for professional development for their Athletic Directors by expanding with colleagues in neighboring districts. A framework of professional development was created focusing on 6 areas consisting of 1.) recruiting and retention of coaches, 2.) connectivity, 3.) legal duties and responsibilities of ADs and Coaches, 4.) professional development, 5.) branding and marketing, 6.) and certification.
