Jon Payne discusses "Being On" by projecting positivity to the students and to change the culture within the school community. He has visual reminders at home, on his office door, and in his office stating that "our kids deserve the best in us." Kids don't come to school to be negative and get yelled at. For some kids, it's their best and safest place to be. The focus is to create a positive environment and make sure that the students see the staff as positive role models.
